How to Play Quartiles
Quartiles is a daily word puzzle from Apple News+. Each puzzle gives you 20 letter tiles arranged in a 4×5 grid. Your goal is to combine tiles to form as many valid words as possible.
Forming Words
Select between 1 and 4 adjacent or non-adjacent tiles to spell a word. Each tile can only be used once per word, but tiles can be reused across different words.

The Quartile Bonus
Hidden within each puzzle is a quartile solution — exactly five 4-tile words that together use all 20 tiles exactly once, with no tile left over. Finding all five earns a +40 point bonus on top of your regular score.
